Viña Albali Gran Reserva

Origin: Only the best grapes are selected for Viña Albali Gran Reserva. In consequence, careful additional treatment and slow ageing are self-evident.  As we monitor our vintners' vineyards, we can assess the grape quality before harvesting, and only the best are used for our Gran Reserva.

Variety: 100% Tempranillo

Wine preparation: After a gentle fermentation, it is finished for at least 24 months in American oak. The wine remains in the bottle for another 5 or 6 years before leaving the bodega. Its long ageing makes the wine dense and complex, and it presents very fine, melded tannins.

Tasting notes: The Gran Reserva has an elegant ruby red with terracotta colouring. The spectrum of aromas on the nose is headed by ripe, dark fruits. The ageing in oak barrels leads to typical notes of vanilla and spices being identifiable. A wine that warms and presents a pleasant length.

Recommendations: Goes particularly well with patés, cheese and meat. It should be drunk at around 18° to 20° C. Its tannin structure gives it an excellent ageing potential (10-12 years).

Alcohol content: 13% vol.
